The table illustrates five different types of transport registered in Australia in 2010,2012, and 2014.
Overall, passenger vehicles had the highest sales, while light trucks had the lowest. Additionally, the percentage of all vehicle types increased during this period.
In particular, passenger vehicles topped the chart with sales reaching 11.800.000 vehicles in the first year of this period and increasing by 10.2 percent during the period, reaching about 13.000.000 vehicles in 2014. Commercial vehicles came in second with 2.300.000 vehicles in 2010 and roseing by 17.4 percent from 2010 to 2014, reaching about 2.700.000 vehicles.
On the other hand, it is also worth noting that the share of motorcycles from 2010 to 2014 was 30.8 percent which was the highest percentage change among the five vehicle kinds. Although in 2014, the number of commercial vehicles reached about 709.000 vehicles. Furthermore, commercial vehicles’ percentage was significantly less, at about 23.5 percent and the number of its sales reached about 416.000 vehicles. Conversely, heavy trucks recorded the lowest levels in both the total number of vehicles by the end of period and the rate of change, with only 131.000 vehicles and 8.3 percent increased, respectively.
