The table shows percentages of consumer spending on three products categories and services in five countries in 2002.
It is clear that the largest proportion on consumer spending in each country went on food, drinks and tobacco. On the other hand, the leisure/ education category had the lowest percentages.
The table shows that the highest proportion of spending on food, drink, and tobacco was in Turkey with 32.14% and Ireland with 28.91%, while the lowest proportion of spending on food, drinks and tobacco was Italy at 16.36% and Sweden at 15.77%.
It is clear that highest proportion of consumer spending on clothing and footwear was in Italy at 9%, whereas the lowest was in Sweden at 5.4%.
It can be seen that higher proportion of consumer spending on leisure and education was in Turkey at 4.35%, while lowest was in Spain at 1.98%. The table shows that Turkey is higher figure on first and third categories, and Italy in second category.
