The table illustrates the proportion of women of different occupations in Hollywood in 1994 and 2003, as well as the alteration that took place over this 9-year period.
As is shown in the table, the number of female editors escalated most significantly over the period shown, from 11.4% to 14.0%, resulting in a 22.8% of change. Besides, there was an upturn in the number of female writers, which ascends from 10% to 12% in 2003, reflecting a notable 20% of change, whilst only a minor growth of 2.5 % in the employment of female costume designers can be witnessed over the time frame.
Looking at the table, we can also notice that the numbers of female producers and directors diminished considerably throughout the period shown. The number of female directors plummeted sharply from 5% to 3%, representing a 40% of change, which was the most dramatic change amongst all work positions whilst the number of female producers experienced a drop of 34%.
Overall, it is evident that there were several notable alterations in the distribution of female workers in multiple jobs in Hollywood over these 9 years.
