The table illustrated the alterations in the number of cinemas in four different regions of a particular European country from 2004 to 2009.
Overall, while some parts of the country such as, City Center and the nearby areas saw an increase in the number of cinemas since 2004, remaining zones, including, suburbial and rural areas experienced a decline. However, the general number of cinemas in a county rose to a certain extand by the end of the period.
In 2004, the City Centre hold the highest number of cinames compared to other regions. The numbers stood at 1,512 before almost +7.14% of development which contributed to the rise of the cinemas up to 1,620 in 2009. Similary, the areas adjacent to the central parts of the city experienced a growth as well. After around +33.33% of a shift, the nubmers went up from 300 to 400 in 2009.
In contrast, in Suburbs -25% of decline can be observed which resulted in the decrease in the number of cinemas from 40 to 30 in 2009. The Rural areas followed a similar downward trend of -16.67% as well, and the number of cinemas declined from 108 to 90 by the end of the period. Additionally, the general trend saw an inrease of +8.9% which lead to the numbers to rise from 2,100 to 2,287.
