The table shows the proportion of women in parliament and in management positions in five countries in 2000.
Overall, women were generally more present in management than in parliament. Norway and Italy had the highest numbers, while Uruguay had the lowest in both areas.
In Canada, about one-third of parliament members were women, and the percentage of female managers was slightly higher. Norway performed even better, with women holding more than a third of parliamentary seats and nearly half of management roles, making it one of the leading countries. In Trinidad and Tobago, women’s representation in parliament was quite low, but in management it was more than double that figure.
Uruguay had the smallest numbers overall, with very few women in parliament and a modest share in management positions. Italy also had a low proportion of women in parliament, but in management roles, women had the largest share among all five countries, even higher than in N
