The illustration outlines the process by which tomato ketchup is produced. Overall, there are 15 steps involved in producing tomato ketchup starting with picking tomatoes and putting them in baskets and ending with purchasing the ready product with a hamburger and fries.
Firstly, the tomatoes are picked, after which they are put in baskets. Having been put there, they go through the process of sorting. In the sorting process, the tomatoes are sorted into good and bad tomatoes, then the good sorted tomatoes are sent to the factory. In the factory, stalks, seeds, and skins are removed from tomatoes and packaged into containers. Once packaged, these tomatoes are pressed with a lid to crush them. After that, sugar, vinegar, and salt are added to the crushed tomatoes in the container. Afterwards, it is boiled and left for 2 hours.
After two hours, the ketchup will be ready and it is covered in jars, which are then labelled and undergo quality control to ensure that they meet standards. After this, the jars are placed in boxes. Finally, the ready product is transported to the supermarkets by refrigerated truck. In the end, it becomes available for purchase with a hamburger and fries.
