The pie charts illustrate the proportion of electricity sources in four different areas (India, Sweden, Morocco, and Vietnam) from 2003 to 2008.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that Morocco and Vietnam did not use the nuclear power for their electricity supply. At the same time, the production of fossil fuels is dominated in countries such as India and Vietnam, whereas Morocco and Sweden produce a large amount of hydro power.
In more detail, 95% of Morocco’s energy production came from hydro power, and the last 5 % of power is from fossil fuels. Vietnam also relied only on two types of electricity: hydro power with 44% and fossil fuels with 56% respectively.
Among the other countries, Sweden produced the highest amount of nuclear power, just above 40%. However, hydro power’s proportion reached 52% more than half of the whole data, and the fossil fuels supply percentage was in the lowest place, a mere 4%. In India the numerous sources of electricity were a fossil fuels which reached a peak of 79%. At the second and third place hydro and nuclear power with 14% and 7% respectively.
