Dear Pat,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you regarding the unpaid work you signed up for at a festival. Would you mind explaining to me what sort of a festival it is, whether it’s a kids’ carnival or so? I would also appreciate it if you could provide me with details on the event’s location and date.

I am very curious as to what you will be doing at the event. I believe that you are assigned certain work by the planners, or do you get the opportunity to choose what you want to do there?

I am looking to enhance my resume with extracurricular activities, and this would be a great opportunity for me. As long as the event organisers are still willing to accept more volunteers, I will sign up in no time. Moreover, information regarding the application process would be much appreciated, my friend.
