The table illustrates the results of United Nations statistics related to social and economic aspects of Canada, Japan, Peru, and Angola in 1994. Overall, both Canada and Japan experienced the highest figures, but Peru and Angola saw the lowest indicators in all four categories.
The figure for annual income per person in Japan is the highest indicator in 1994 (15740 dollars), while the second place is given to Canada, reaching 11100 dollars. As for life expectancy at birth, two countries showed almost the same value, 76% and 78%, respectively. The similarities are also visible in adult literacy rate, both Canada and Japan saw 99%. However, the figure for daily calorie supply per person in Canada (3326 calories) is higher than in Japan (2864 calories).
In contrast, Peru and Angola saw the lowest figures in annual income per person, which were 160 and 130 dollars. Peru’s life expectancy at birth was 51%, whilst Angola accounted for only 47%. As for daily calorie supply per person, people living in Peru ate 200 more calories than in Angola, 1927 and 1749 calories, respectively. Moreover, the adult literacy rate in Peru was twice as much as in Angola.
