Band 7+: You are going to teach English to your friend's child. Write a letter to your past English teacher to ask if you can borrow some books from him/her. In your letter tell your teacher about the child; say when and where you will teach the child; explain what books you would like to borrow.

Dear Mr.Sandhu,

I am writing this letter to borrow some English books for teaching my friend’s child.

The child’s name is Robin, a bright and curious 7-year-old who possesses an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Having observed his enthusiasm for learning, I have decided to take on the role of an English tutor to help nurture his language skills.

In terms of logistics,I plan to conduct the English lessons at my friend’s house every Monday from 1 November to 30 November. The environment there is conducive to learning,with a quite study area and access to various educational resources.

Ideally, the books should cover various aspects of the English language such as vocabulary building, grammar fundamentals, reading comprehension and writing skills. Additionally, any supplementary materials like workbooks or activity sheets would be highly appreciated, as they can provide interactive learning experiences.
