Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to request help in retrieving my ring that I lost this morning. I was in the 10am express train departing from Sydney and heading to Melbourne.
The ring was made of gold with a white opal stone. There was my name: Lily, inscribed in the inner side of the ring, right under the gem. Please note this ring was passed down to me from my late grandmother and it has significant emotional value.
As I was boarding the train, the ring slipped off my fingers when I lifted my suitcase. Unfortunately, I did not spot where it fell and was unable to find it throughout the ride. The staff also assisted me with my search but we eventually reached our destination with no success.
I would greatly appreciate that a thorough last check be made around the seat 10A during the clean up of the train. I have attached my contact details, so please reach out if it was ever found.
Yours faithfully,
Lily Smith
