Overal,a significantly higher percentage of males have been arrested compared to females, additionaly the most common reasons for arrest differ between gender with public drinking and drink driving being particularly prominent among males, while public drinking appears to be the leading cause among females.
In terms of arrest rates, males are far more likely to have been arrested than females. According to the charts, 32% of males reported having been arrested, while the remaining 68% had not. In contrast, only 9% of females had experienced arrest, with a substantial majority of 91% reporting no history of arrest. This indicates that males are more than three times as likely as females to have been arrested.
Regarding the reasons for the most recent arrest, there are noticeable differences between males and females. For males, public drinking accounts for the highest percentage, at approximately 31%, followed by drink driving at around 26%. Other common reasons include breach of order (about 19%) and other reasons (around 18%).
