Dear Priya,

I hope this letter finds you well and that your family is doing okay. My reason for writing is because I won’t be able to make it to the movies next Thursday. I’m saddened by this as I was really looking for forward to seeing this movie. Unfortunately, my department has scheduled a test on that day and it is extremely important that I don’t miss it as there is no make-up test. I’m sorry if this hampers your plans.

Although I won’t be available to go with you, I know someone who would love to join you for the movies on that day. I am certain that you and this person will have a good time at the movies. His name is Genesis and he is my senior colleague and he mentioned that he was free that Thursday and he has always wanted to meet you. I think this is a great opportunity for you guys to hang out.

He is great and a huge fan of the avengers so I’m sure you would enjoy his company. Additionally, he has a great crush on you and you’re currently single. You know what I’m suggesting, right? In case you want to act oblivious, I’m setting you and him up. Thanks so much for your understanding. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
