Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest to volunteer my free time to teach basic English programme for refugees. I am an university student, and I would like to do some volunteer work in my long, summer break. I have friends whose parents are refugees and heard many heart wrenching stories. I have worked on a similar basic English programme last year for non English speaking people at my community. Hence I feel that I would fit right into it. I am available from the beginning of July until the end of September. I can teach up to 10 hours a week. Please find my attached resume for your kind reference. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am looking forward to your response.
