It is commonly believed that art plays a significant role in society as a form of entertaiment and a media to express cultures. I believe that children should practice art at the early age, however, it does not mean to prioritize it over other subjects. In this essay I will discuss further about my previous statement.
To begin with, art is an essential subject for children to enhance their creativity and imagination. It can be seen that pupils who do not practice art, they struggle to express their feelings and less creative compared to others who do arts. For example, when kids are happy, they often show it with either drawing or singing. This proved that art is important for children’s life.
Another thing to consider is, teaching art to young generations can be a form of inhering the culture. Take as an example, when kids learn about traditional songs or crafts, they are likely to use those abilities oftenly and pass it onto the next generation. Hence, the cultural heritage of a nation can be prevented from extinction.
Finally, however, regardless of how useful for pupils to study art, other subjects can not be put as a second or third prioritize. Young individuals need to have a balance in their life between academic and non-academic skills in order to survive in everyday’s situation. Thus, ensuring that children have a good balance between subjects for mental, physical and social development is crucial.
In conclusion, while art is genuinely beneficial for children to enhance their creativity as well as to inhary the culture, other subjects is no less important to learn. It is crucial that schools should make a balance curriculum.
