Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, advertising has become a crusial part of people’s lives. It can influence how people think, what they buy, and how they act. In this essay, I will discuss the effects of advertising on people and suggest some ways to reduce its negative impact.

First of all, advertising often makes people buy things they do not really need. Many companies use advertising to make their products look very attractive and important. For example, many people buy new phones or clothes .This can causes people to waste money and sometimes they feel unhappy when they cannot afford to buy what they see. Also, advertising often gives wrong ideas about beauty, success, and happiness. Many young people start to believe they must have a certain lifestyle to be accepted by others.

There are some ways to reduce the bad effects of advertising. Firstly, governments can make strict laws to control false or misleading advertisements. For example, ads that give wrong information about a product’s quality should be banned. Secondly, schools can teach students how to understand advertising better. If young people know how advertising tries to influence them, they can make better decisions. Lastly, companies should also take responsibility and not create ads that put too much pressure on people to buy things.

In conclusion, advertising can shape people’s ideas about life in many of ways. To limit its negative influence, it’s important for governments, schools, and companies to work together. If individuals learn to better understand how advertising tries to persuade them, they’ll be in a stronger position to resist its pressure.
