Band 6+: As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for teachers in classroom. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the usage of computers has dramatically increased in education, which is lowering the crucial role of teachers in the classroom. This essay will argue that despite technology development has a great impact on learning, but I still believe that having interaction with teachers is essential.

Granted, it is understandable why some people advocate the replacement of teachers with artificial intelligence. The primary reason is that in light of the proliferation of state-of-the-art applications, bombarding students with countless lessons and lectures ranging from almost all subjects, they are now enabled to learn and study without the presence of teachers. However, this perspective fails to factor in the validity of these lessons as inauthentic materials and lessons are omnipresent. If what they learn is not chosen carefully, it will take a toll on their knowledge development.

On the other hand, educators have invaluable care for the student’s education lives. Teachers are guidance from the beginning to the end and the knowledge that they instill in them, no one or nothing can learn properly including computers or robots. Additionally, teachers have a special learning method for the studying process that leads to the individuals in the direct ways they have become guides for their future. Recently, a wide range of countries have to tendency also made a special effort to replace teachers with robots or technology, they also tend to bring these practical methods to children’s subjects. For instance, China is well-known for its cutting-edge technology all over the world and their students’ studying process is based on. Chinese kids, take advantage of computers instead of books for their assignments. Furthermore, in Holland, pupils study by practicing and experimenting through laptops or joining robot-technique exercises. These examples depict various attempts to change learning techniques, however, no new method can alternate for educators’ positions.

In conclusion, even though technology contributes to children’s studying process, educators preserve their sacred places as always.
