In modern world most people use online communication and social media than talking in a person. Some people believe that this change make worth the real life communication. I partly agree with this view because, digital communication can weaken our social skill.
On the one hand, digital communication has many positive sides. It gives to people stay in touch with their friends and family across the worlds. In some cases, it also helps to people who are shy to communicate freely. In addition, technilogy hepled to create new communicational skills, such as expressing their ideas clearly in writing online. These skills are important to today’s workplase and educational system.
On the other hand, too much online interaction can make the face-to-face communication difficult. When we communicate through screens, we miss facial expression, tone of voice and eye contact. These are key element during real communication, without them there can happen misunderstandings. Moreover, people who spend most of their time online can feel nervous or uncomfortable when speaking in person. For example, many young people today prefer texting instead of talking directly, which can reduce their confidence in real situation.
In conclusion, although digital communication allows people to connect with people easily and develop new other skills, it can reduce the abblity to speak confidently in real life.
