It is quite common for people to be unable to carry out their university studies due to a lack of resources, especially in private universities. Education should be an opportunity given to everyone, despite their financial background; this is how society can ensure competent workers as well as eliminate the inequality breach.
If all people were given the chance to study what they wish, not only would companies be filled with talented staff but society would be able to see greater innovation. Although people’s reach can be conditioned by the resources they are given, that does not mean their capabilities depend on it as well. It is not uncommon for people considered geniuses to have humble beginnings, and this does not affect their status as key figures in human history. Thus, it would not be odd for there to be many more hidden gems in the population, who are not able to unlock their full potential due to them being confined to their immediate surroundings for being unable to pay for more.
As for inequality, it is quite evident that it causes several issues within society; problems that could be avoided if people had full access to education. It is not rare for young people to be forced to choose paths that they have never wanted for themselves, only because they could not afford their dream. Not only does this cause a lot of unhappiness to them, but it keeps them within the poverty cycle. To be able to have a better income, people must get promotions, which are only possible by having more knowledge and skills. A great example of this are my own parents, who came from a humble background but managed to settle into a life of comfort by studying in a field they really liked and then dedicating themselves fully to their job.
In conclusion, education should be accessible to everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from. It is only this way that people can settle into a career of their liking, and therefore avoid paths that steer them into furter poverty, or even violence.
