Many people argue that the government should hold individuals responsible for protecting their local environment. I completely agree with this statement because individuals will prevent negative impacts for environment and they can develop the control of protecting environment.
The main reason that why I support this reason is individuals really feel responsible and will avoid harmful things, such as throw litter and using exceed energy. They will always clean their streets and keep it more cleaner. When anyone will throw trash in the centre of the city, citizens will notify to prevent our environment from litters instead of just observe at them. For example, in some countrisides in Kazakhstan government made responsible citizens for looking after their environment. As a result, their countryside became more cleaner and every individual keep the rules.
Another significant reason is controlling environment everywhere. The government cannot monitor each household’s waste. Therefore, citizens need to take the responsibility to protect our environment. If they will supervise their own street, it makes our surroundings more beautiful. For instance, in some European cities people controlling their own environment from negative things and government support it. As a result, supervision from citizens provides more advantage for government.
To sum up, I entirely agree that government should make individuals accountable for their environment, mainly because we will avoid basic harmful situations and supervise to protect surrounding.
