Comparing to the past, handwriting is not as formal as it was. There are several reasons contributing to this phenomenon; for example, advancements of technology and less emphesizing on writing. Although, this trend is inescapable, I believe it posses negative consequences.
Numerous factors are responsible for this situation. Firstly, with the advancements of technology and the invention of smartphones and laptops, writing on a piece of paper became rare. Instead, typing replaced the traditional way of writing; thus, people do not have as training as they had in the past. Furthermore, as they do not write using pen and pencils they may not feel the importance of readable handwriting; therefore, while rising their childeren, they do not emphesize on this skill. As a consequence, even schools do not dedicate time to develop it in young childeren.
However, in my opinion this is a major problem in modern era. Despite the fact that new machines fade out traditional writing, but it is not compeletly distroyed. Conversaly, in some situations it happens to be of importance; such as, when a doctor does not access to computer especially in less developed regions. In this situation it is important for the doctor to write formaly, else the pharmecist may mistaken the medicanes and simply put the patient in danger.
To conclude, invention of computers and mobile phones led to less significance of handwriting so people dedicate less time to work on it and teach it to their childeren. I assume this can be a deteriorating event particularly in situations that reading a writen text is highly important.
