Being a salaried worker has more benefits than working independently has been a major concern in recent years. This essay is going to argue for why I agree with this statement but in part I suppose that being a boss has certain advantages.
On the one hand, there are more reasonable grounds as to why working for a company is far beneficial. Firstly, the employees working for someone can certainly have a more stable income. This is because they can be entitled the same amount of salary every month, leading to less fluctuation while working for one self, whose income might be dependent on what their business performs to get back profit. Another reason is the higher chance to foster constructive relationships at the workplace. These connections not only enhance the collaboration and teamwork but also can effect as a significant opportunities for those who envision starting up their own business in the future.
On the other hand, being a boss should be considered as a better working form to an extent. To begin with, it offers greater flexibility in terms of working hours and decision-making. Unlike salaried employees who have to follow fixed schedules, self-employed individuals can decide when and how long they want to work each day. For example, a freelancer may choose to work intensively during the night if they feel more productive, or take a day off without requesting permission from a manager. This level of autonomy allows them to balance work and personal life more effectively. Furthermore, being self-employed opens up opportunities for higher profits. While a salaried worker’s income is limited by their contract, the people who are being one’s own boss can continually increase their profits as their business expands. This often leads to faster financial growth, greater independence, and the possibility of building long-term wealth, outcomes that are rarely attainable in conventional salaried positions.
