In today’s society, in many countries, children are involved in some kind of paid work. Some people believe it is beneficial as it provides valuable work experience at a young age, while others disagree with this view. In this essay, I will explain why I agree with this statement and provide examples to support my position.
Firstly, this idea develops in children’s minds when they want to buy something, such as toys and video games. This motivation often comes from their parents, who earn money to spend on their children’s education and other essentials in daily life. As a result, this sparks an interest in young people to earn money themselves. For instance, a friend of mine is a drawing artist who started doing commissioned portraits for payment, and it has been going very well. Moreover, this shows that people with specific interests can excel easily. Therefore, it is clear that working with specific goals in mind has a positive impact.
On the other hand, children are also engaged in technical fields, which allows them to explore more captivating inventions in technology. This includes programming skills such as Python and Java, which enable children to take on freelancing projects, leading to the development of hands-on experience. Furthermore, they can profit from platforms like GitHub and LinkedIn. However, some still believe this is unnecessary. As a result, it is clear that these opportunities not only improve proficiency but also develop interpersonal skills that are required in the future.
In conclusion, while it is true that some nations pay children for different types of work, the benefits in terms of success far outweigh the drawbacks. Hence, I strongly agree with the statement that working at a young age has positively influenced people’s mindsets.
