There is a growing concern that the quality of life in large and developed cities is deteriorating. Nowadays, many big cities suffer from problems such as air pollution and overcrowded city centers, which are among the main issues. There are several causes behind this situation, however, there are also some measures that can be taken to improve living conditions.
It is widely believed that at present time urban areas are unable to provide a high quality of life. There are many factors that explain why this is happening. Many developed cities focus too much on improving international cooperation, and as a result, they ignore their own local issues, such as air pollution and overpopulation. Nowadays, governments prefer to improve the country’s partnerships and economy rather than solve the pollution problems in cities. Ignoring these factors can lead to adverse such as riots and protests, if the government continue disregarding issues with their cities it even can lead to civil war. For instance, in 2025, one of the major problems in Central Asia, particularly in Uzbekistan, is severe air pollution. Residents often do not have access to clean air, as rapid technological and industrial development has led to factories operating continuously without proper environmental controls. This has directly contributed to the worsening air quality in cities.
It is true that at the present time one of the global problems is air pollution and overcrowded cities. To prevent these issues, first of all, the government should address them. But management cannot always solve these pressing problems, sometimes everything depends on us, the residents. To avoid air pollution problems, we can plant trees or other types of plants that can have a beneficial effect on nature. The second and equally important solution is that the government can organize events with attractive incentives to encourage residents to participate. For example, air pollution is a serious problem in some Central Asian countries. The President of Tajikistan promised expensive gifts to the most active residents, and finally, the government and residents joined forces and significantly improved the situation.
In conclusion, the quality of life in big cities is becoming worse because of air pollution, overcrowding, and governments focusing more on the economy and international issues. To improve this situation, both the government and residents should take action. People can plant trees and protect the environment, and the government can organize events to involve citizens. If both sides work together, life in cities can become better.
