It is widely believed that in the near future many governments are about to face a decline in the number of young people which would boost the statistics of people of old age. From my perspective, i consider this trend to have a negative impact on the country’s society. In this essay, i am going to list main reasons that made me come to this opinion.
Most of the developing countries get profit from production of fossils, to name a few: coal, gold and other valuable hard metals. The manufacturing these products require manual work, however old people are not fit to this job. Hence, the government may experience downfall in its economy.
Apart from the above mentioned dilemmas, such a development can lead to the loneliness of people at their last stages of life, when the daily care is most needed. As human beings age, they tend to become weaker, losing their former strength, because of which they need someone to look after them and assistance in basic day to day activities. In most cases, it is the children who do these all for elderly, nevertheless, because of the down in ratio of young people, old adults suffer from loneliness.
To conclude, the expected rise in number of old people in many countries may cause negative effects like downfall in economy because of weakened workforce and loneliness of individuals.
