Band 5: In the modern world, schools are no longer necessary because there is so much information available through the internet that children can study just as well at home. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

Technology is developing that leads to many way to learn including online class. This makes people think that studying at schools is unimportant because children can study at home by themselves. I completely disagree with this opinion because going to school not only studies lessons but it also help us improve skills and expand relationships.

Firstly, when you study at home, you are just alone, or somtime your parents can teach you. If you do it for a long time, you may feel bored, then you don’t want to study anymore. For example, in Covid-19-time, student studied at home and almost they said it could be satified at first, but then they felt unhappy because they couldn’t meet their friends. In addition, studying via Internet can harm your eye if you watch computer or smartphone too much.

Secondly, you can’t meet your teacher when you study at home so if you don’t understand any lesson, you can’t ask them for explaining. Teachers are experts and specific people who work dedicatedly in the educational area to flourish the young generation’s development; as a result, their professional guidance has a positive impact on children’growth. On the other hand, online learning sourcesare tremendous and result in difficulties for a child to find the correct lessons to self-study effectively without a teacher’s instructions.

In conclusion, as many have the belief that children can study by themselves at home with the Internet rather than attending school programs, I think that is not a good idea as studying at school offers many undeniable benefits for their development.
