In recent times, environmental problems have been increasing around the world. Some people think that only governments and big companies can improve the environment, while individuals can not to much. However, l totally disagree with this idea and, I feel this way for two reasons, which will be explained in detail in the following lines.
First and foremost, it is undeniably true that the environment concerns all people, not only governments or large companies. Big companies are not only ones living in earth, all people share the same air, water and land. When many people do some small good actions, the result becomes essential for world. For example, if people use less plastic, recycle their publish and uses buses or trains instead of use cars. Consequently, pollution can decrease in many places which we lived.
On the other hand, the next point to deem is that individuals can also influence companies and governments. Companies sell products that people want to buy. If customers choose environmentally friendly products, companies will produce more of them. For instance, many shops sell recyclable bags because people want to reduce plastic waste. As a result, people can vote for leaders who care about the environment and support environmental projects. When many people ask for change, governments are more likely to make new environmental laws. This shows that individuals also have a power in society.
To sum up, considering all the factors mentioned above, we can confidently say that I do not agree that only governments and large companies can improve the environment. Every person can help, and when people act together, they can influence companies and governments.
