Nowadays it is commonly discussed that incremental additional classes should be implemented for junior students at educational establishments, such as teaching how to plant vegetables and care animals. While there are several downsides to creating such activities for juveniles, including allotting extra budget for intensive resources and consuming time, but these negatives are outweighed by the benefits, boosting physical activity and improving self-confidence.
One of the drawbacks of educating these hobbies to children is purchasing specific items for this class. That is to say, setting up and maintaining gardens or animal habitats requires significant resources, including space, tools, seeds, feed, and perhaps specialized staff. Schools might struggle with the financial and logistical demands. The following negative side of this context is allocating some extra time and attention for looking after vegetables and animals. That means gardening and animal care require regular attention, which can be time-consuming for both students and teachers. This could potentially detract from other academic subjects and learning activities.
However, the advantages of introducing this subject are far greater. One of the upsides is physical activity which is so helpful for keeping the body into shape. For example, there is a common illness among youngsters namely “Baby fat” which is one thing, but the reality today is that keeping a child’s weight under control is a battle that starts early. Much of this is caused by a lack of activity. Therefore, this class keeps them at healthy weight while making them less likely to become obese as an adult. The second positive side is confidence. During life on this class, kids are faced with new challenges every day. They learn to solve problems and come up with solutions by themselves, such as feeding cows or horses and watering plants.
In conclusion, implementing such an empirical lesson can entail some challenges for schools like shopping intensive resources and spending more quality for gardening and animals. Otherwise, the upsides are much more essential, including enhancing self-confidence and keeping the body fit.
