Another significant aspect is that endangered species often possess unique genetic traits which should be studied thoroughly in order to pave the way for breakthroughs in medicine, biotechnology, and other scientific domains. For instance, a species might have developed resistance to certain diseases, which could inform medical research and contribute to the development of new treatments.
