From analytical prospective , the influential impact of learning the difference between right and wrong at early age grabs our immediate attention because of its universality . in the given context many people believe that punishment is necessary to help children learn this distinction. I tend to agree with this statement ,but harsh punishment have negative effects .
There are two fundamental reasons why punishment is necessary to help children learn the difference between wrong and right ? the first and foremost factor which goes in the favor of this view point is that discipline helps children to grow more responsible . for this instance , when children correct their mistakes, they learn that every action has its consequence . For example, when a child lies , than their parents refuse to use of mobile phone , then next day they will realize that honestly is valuable .such types of punishments encourage children behave properly .The second plausible explanation is that punishment also builds respect for parents and teachers . when they realize their mistake act as they are embrrace and then they properly follow their discipline .
Conversely, opponents rightly argue that harsh punishments can harm children physically and mentally . It makes children more aggressive and lose their confidence . They further their argument by bringing a cogent reason when they shouted at or hit badly , makes them more fearless and lost trust in adults . further when parents and teachers explain their mistakes calmly ,they understand and avoid for future .
