With the development of cutting-edge technology, the emergence of driverless cars is not peculiar with individuals. Many people suggest that driverless cars should be used more widely in society in lieu of current means of transportation. From my perspective, I partly agree with this statement. In this essay I will argue and give examples to illustrate my point of view.
On the one hand, adults, not least the tech-savvy younger are the mad keen on state-of-the-art devices, thus, the tendency of using driverless car are dramatically flourishing. It is undeniable that the mentioned type of car will play a vital role in the near future when the resources of fossils fuels and unrenewable energy will be confined. Secondly, the usage of automatic cars will be less time-consuming to the car owners. Therefore, they can relax or spend time with their families and relatives in lieu of driving a car in constant hours. Moreover, the elderly or the disabled will have the opportunities to travel by themselves without any helps. It can bring to them a sense of comfortable and convenient.
On the other hand, at the outset, the cost of producing a particular current automatic car is extravagant, thus, in various developing countries, creating a driverless car is impractical. Second, running numerous automatic cars at the same time in the rush hours are still impossible to producers and owners for the time being, except for the immediately construction of special roads for that cars. Third, there are many professional drivers earning money from driving the rented car such as taxi drivers or truck drivers. Converting into automatic cars will make them unemployed and governments must compensate to them. Last but not least, the inhabitant faith’s on driverless cars are still lowed, so authorities should have some policies to make them trustworthy.
To sum up, the appearance of automatic cars will be indispensable in the Earth’s future. However, the adaptation should be at the low rate to dwellers to understand the way of each car works.
