Band 4+: Learning English at school is often seen as more important than learning local languages. If these are not taught, many are at risk of dying out.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

english is regarded as the global language of the world. most people use the language as the means of communication to converse with people from all parts of the world. english is also taught as one of the primary language in many schools around the world. english being the most used language does not mean we should ignore other local languages as well.

it is true that as we get a hold of the English language properly we can get access to different global opportunities. but after analyzing different research papers, it found that most people who object on prioritizing english are not fluent on the language itself. but for their respective language to attain attention, the internation conference and research should proceed in english. thus, i believe prioritizing english at schools is not overrated but rather necessary.

english language does not steal away the importance of local languages, it our mind itself. we should learn an practice the mutual balance between them. i think that local languages embodies art, tradition and culture. but it should never restrict someone or create a barries infront of the oppurtunities ahead. we should practice to sustain both languages positively in the current society without damaging anything or anyone. local language should also be given priorities in their respective places.

it is important to learn english but very unnecessary to frame it as it is not responsible for dissolve of other local languages. english language could act as a medium of gaining popularity of the culture and local language itself.
