Numerous of languages are dying out because of rising of commonly spoken ones, such as English. This essay believes that it is a negative development, because of identity lose and national popularity decrease.
Language is the most significant part of each nation culture and individuality, it brings itself through out hundreds of centuries and contains the whole history inside. If citizens of one country begin to forget or just ignore their own native language, there is a high risk that in some time the language may be forgot by the whole nation, because every case of knowledge requires to be given from one generation to another. For example, people from European country – Estonia, who are dramatically losing their culture by not using their own language and speak English instead. Estonia is located in Europe, where almost each country has their own language to speak inside the country, however they still develop their skills to speak more and more languages such as English and French, but never forgetting their own. That Is why it continuous to be odd condition, that Estonians are prefer not to develop their own language, but speak another various of it in different areas.
Moreover, due to knowing another language on advanced level, but not knowing local one inside the country, may lead to population decrease, because many people choose to move to country, language of which they find more suitable and attractive. It creates mixing of different nations and lose of culture and tradition. For instance, Poland people who move around the Europe because find environment in other countries more comfortable and pleasant for them, which leads to national mixing and lose of their language and traditions.
To conclude, I believe that national languages dying out because of development of another ones is absolutely negative development and may cause terrible loss of identity.
