School is one of the most effective methods of modern education that almost all various populations worldwide look forward to enrolling their children in, in order to maximise their potential and provide them with the highest quality of education throughout their life. However, a high number of young students leave this institution with a negative attitude to learning, and there are many different tutoring and learning methods that can shift this attitude into a positive one, and I will be listing the reasons for this and its solutions.
To begin with, loads of students have a dismissive attitude towards tuition by the time they graduate, this is due to the fact that they relive the same repetitive and uninteresting daily routine, in addition to the lack of positive reinforcement and reward system in their environment, which they may perceive as obstructive, this is because there’s no appreciation to the efforts they present. Moreover, due to the absence of activities, students will be discouraged from participating in extracurricular events and volunteering which will affect their self-esteem. For example, students that have the same routine will not have the energy to multi-task or participate in volunteering and activities because of low self-esteem.
Furthermore, there are several different productive and functional techniques that can improve the quality of tutoring around the world, to ensure that students graduate with a positive attitude towards learning. One of these methods is positive reinforcement used by educators, which uses rewards that can be in contrasting forms. As well as, setting positive objectives and to-do lists that can increase confidence and self-esteem that creates a positive attitude in students towards school. As a result, students will improve their character and these strategies will fuel their self-esteem and confidence towards their studies, leading to a highly active community of young teenagers willing to participate in volunteering, teaching programs, classroom activities and an improvement in moral ethical values. For instance, a student with a repetitive and uninteresting daily routine that is considered obstructive, will have motivation and encouragement to study because he had various activities in the classroom
In conclusion, it’s essential to be aware of students’ mental and physical state, in order to combat repetitive routine and dull teaching. Positive reinforcement, to-do lists, objectives and activities, are important elements that need to be present in every classroom and will shift the students’ attitude to education into a positive attitude. These people that are being taught are the ones that will shape the future of this world.
