Some people claim that the most beneficial solution to homelessness, a crucial problem in the multitude of communities, is to provide funds. To a certain extent, I agree that making donations can have a significant impact on reducing the number of homeless people. However, I also believe that there are more powerful options to tackle this issue.
On the one hand, I admit that, as money is the key factor in poverty, giving money to the roofless may facilitate addressing the problem. A variety of factors can lead to homelessness, such as unemployment, sudden medical conditions, wasteful use of money, etc., which cut off the earnings. That is why, financial support would give the poor a second chance to rebuild their lives by meeting their basic necessities, acquiring a job as a secure income source, and even finding a stable housing.
On the other hand, I think that finding a solution that will fix the situation from root would be more plausible. That is because temporary aid to poor citizens would only help them for a limited amount of time and level and can deteriorate the economy. Equally important, some people would be dependent on the backing of other people and the government and would never learn how to stand on their own feet. With these in mind, we must ponder on wiser approaches, like creating job opportunities, lending money for small businesses and educating people about efficient financial control. Such strategies could have more pleasant outcomes.
In conclusion, while I admit that economic aid to homeless people would certainly affect positively in improving overall conditions of them, investigating on fundamental actions can have better and permanent results.
