While technology provides significant functionality, it can unintentionally cause people to lose basic skills as they increasingly depend on digital tools. I believe that this phenomenom is cannot be denied regarding the communication style and education system. Additionally, eventhough technology utilization is rampant nowadays, some individuals still maintain their life without being over-attached to it.
To begin with, there is a widespread belief that people are becoming increasingly reliant on technology in several purposes, such as to communicate and to learning. Firstly, the community use smartphones, social media, and messaging apps for almost all their communication. This reliance can reduce face-to-face interactions and affect social skills. Secondly, it is formally acknowledged that the advancement of technology allows students to count and calculate basic math calculations instantly using counting application like calculator and subsequently make students tend to use their memory less frequently.
Furthermore, it is true that some individuals might not be overly reliant on technology and can still perform tasks without it in area of navigation and academic process. First of all, relying less in technology can make people more prepared on an unwanted situation. For example, drivers rely on a map and compass to guide themselves in places where GPS might not be used due to the lack of internet access in rural areas. Moreover, it is worth considering in educational setting that students can have personal meeting and consult directly with their teachers in order to gain more understanding of complex subjects without surfing it on the internet.
In summary, although technology provides significant ease, excessive reliance on it can result in forgetting fundamental abilities, particularly in areas like interaction and acquiring knowledge. Nevertheless, some individuals still handle tasks such as navigation and learning journey without relying heavily on digital tools.
