Children are given assignments to complete at home under the current educational system. Frequently, kids may struggle with their homework and turn to their parents for assistance. In my opinion, a variety of circumstances can influence whether or not parents should spend more time assisting their children with their homework, and different people may hold different opinions.However, I agree with the statement that parents should help their children with schoolwork.
Firstly, it is a parents obligation to ensure that their children are studying properly.As parents have a deeper connection with their children then teachers , alternative explanation of complex topics can help kids to understand everything and be able to answer the questions or solve problems on their own later.Furthermore, parental assistance during study sessions helps minimize distractions that children might encounter. Without parental guidance, kids could easily be sidetracked by gadgets, television, or toys. By working alongside parents, children can maintain better focus on their tasks.
On the other hand, some can argue that too much parental involvement can affect a child’s independence and problem-solving skills.Children should be able to manage their tasks alone.Also,many parents could simply have a strict work time table that limits their time they can spend with their children.In such cases, it may be more practical for parents to provide support in alternative ways, acknowledging the constraints of their time while still fostering a positive learning environment for their children.
Generally, the level of involvement parents have in their children’s homework should be based on the needs and dynamics of each individual family. Striking a balance that promotes learning, independence, and a positive relationship with education is key.
