Modern citizens often gravitate toward having children at a later stage in life. While this development is advantageous to some extent, I believe that the disadvantages that it offers are far more significant.
On the one hand, the benefits to the rise of giving births after the youthful stage are definite. In principle, various people tend to have children at older ages since they want to maintain their austerity at an appropriate stage, which plays a vital role in raising a child. Additionally, modern life generally requires lots of money for life satisfaction, including education, traveling, and cost of living. As soon as a family has the ability to cover the fee for raising a child, this helps to achieve standard requirements that set up a sufficient life for that child. Furthermore, children who are given birth by older parents will access to better education opportunity. Chief among these is that elder parents are often skillful and can provide wide range of knowledge as well as well-qualified schools for their children. A vivid example for that is Gordon Ramsay, a famous chef who have children at a very late stage of his life, which helps him teach more cooking techniques for his sons.
On the other hand, I am convinced that the aforementioned benefits are eclipsed by some certain drawbacks. Firstly, this trend may bring dissatisfactions to woman, which includes both intellectual and substantial health problems. The key rationale is that woman who are pregnant at the late time in their lifespan can experience health risks during their pregnancy which may also affect the growth of their babies and their health condition, namely, eating disorders, depression and overwhelm. Moreover, woman’ strength usually do not allow them to give births at later stage of their life since this acquaintance can push them near to the death. Secondly, parents at older age often depict weaker strength and do not pose enough ability to raise a child. In addition, economy is one of popular reason for neglecting children, and there are several families have low income which lead to the disability to neither raise nor take care of a kid. For instance, research has shown the rate of death during giving births at older ages is higher than that of earlier stages in their life.
In conclusion, the prevalence of giving births at older ages in lifespan can have some certain advantages; however, I believe that they are outweighed by the disadvantages outlined above.
