Nowadays, some people choose to be a vegan or a person who chooses to not eat food and become vegetarians. I do not agree with this identity. Although vegetarianism is known to be a healthy diet, recent studies have also shown many downsides to a strict vegan diet, including reports of increased risk of stroke, adverse effects to the brain and depression
Firstly, meat is a necessary food for human development. All the important nutritions can be found in meat products. There is a certain type of Vitamin D which can only be absorbed from meat thus those who do not eat such meals are more likely to have Vitamin deficiencies . Even nutritionists have refuted this diet several times since it could lead to dangerous potential diseases.Dishes that consist of only vegetables can not be a great source to equalize your carbohydrate and protein balance.
Secondly, it affects your brain health. Another group of experts demonstrates that the vegetarian trend could lead to a “Choline Crisis”. Choline is a nutrient that is important for brain health and other functions. It is found in meat and poultry, and these are substances that the body cannot synthesize on its own outside of dietary sources. “Vegetarian diets are certainly low in choline. However, eating a few eggs per week can actually help increase choline levels in egg eaters. Vegetarians should consider taking supplements.” , especially vegetarianism in women of childbearing age.
In general, we need a balanced diet between meat and vegetarian foods to have a healthy life.
