In terms of social structure, online meetings, discussions, and training often take place daily. These activities have their advantages and disadvantages, which will be thoroughly discussed in this essay. The writer’s opinion will also be presented.
On one hand, online appointments offer greater accessibility. Thanks to advanced technologies, employers and entrepreneurs can participate in meetings without any geographical barriers. For example, businessmen from different countries, such as America or South Africa, can attend meetings in case of emergencies, something that may not be possible in face-to-face conversations. Additionally, virtual meetings can make the entire process more productive. Technologies like tablets and televisions enable entrepreneurs to present ideas effectively through images and videos, motivating all participants.
On the other hand, despite the numerous advantages of online appointments, their disadvantages must also be acknowledged. Virtual meetings can pose technical and security risks. Technical issues, such as unexpected interruptions like disconnections, can lead to delays and the absence of other members, slowing down the process and diminishing the quality of presentations. In terms of security, virtual meetings may lack assurance. Nowadays, the privacy of online conversations can be compromised by basic algorithms, enabling unauthorized access by hackers and other strangers. This can result in the theft of sensitive business strategies and personal information, which could be used for malicious purposes.
In conclusion, while online appointments offer certain benefits, their drawbacks should not be ignored. From my perspective, a combination of both online and face-to-face meetings would be the optimal solution, depending on the specific requirements and goals of each meeting.
