Schools are considered the epitome of education. Not only do teachers teach us, they instill us with life-lessons and prepare us for our future. School is considered a student’s second home. This is where students spend most of their time apart from being in their homes.
With the rise in technology and adaptability of the internet, people wonder whether internet can replace schools. While this topic may be arguable, I believe that it cannot. Schools act as a hub where students can interact with each other, and simultaneously, study. These benefits of school make the students confident and smart. Websites, and other information sources, may fail to instill these values in the students. Even if the students become brilliant in studies using these sources, they won’t be able to succeed in the other aspects of lives.
Many alternatives have been tried to replace schools. However, nearly 90% of these alternatives have failed which proves that nothing can take place of the education centres. A study compared two students who graduated from offline and online school. The study proved that the student who went to a physical school was more successful in life that the student who was enrolled in an online school. Schools provide a medium for students to excel in different fields.
In conclusion, schools – and universities – are a necessity of students. Schools cannot be replaced by other internet sources. The physical interaction of students with others, their ability to understand well in an offline school, and understanding the value of time-management make schools superior to other educational sources.
