Some people argue that schools are no longer necessary because students can study effectively at home using the Internet. However, I strongly disagree with this view, as schools play a role in students’ academic development and social skills.
Firstly, schools provide learning environment that is difficult to replace at home. Teachers guide students, explain complex topics clearly, and there is discipline in the classroom, which helps students learn more effectively. Without supervision, many students may become distracted when studying online and fail to manage their time effectively.
Secondly, schools help students develop important social and communication skills. By communication with classmates and teachers daily, students learn teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving abilities. Studying at home through the Internet limits face-to-face communication, which can negatively affect students social development and confidence.
In conclusion, although studying at home through the Internet can be convenient, it cannot replace the benefits of schools. Schools provide learning environment and help students develop both academic knowledge and essential social skills, which are crucial for their development.
