In the modern world, the number of unhealthy cousins on supermarket shelves increased which had a harmful impact on individuals’ health. Many argue that supermarkets should be banned from selling these products to customers. I completely agree with this statement due to the inevitable effects of non-organic foods and beverages on health.
On the one hand, some individuals think that they have personal freedom in selecting their cousins and drinks; therefore establishing rules for prohibiting supermarkets from providing detrimental products fosters the individuals’ anger. For example, people suffer from a hectic schedule and have no time for making food, hence they prefer to utilize ready meals. Moreover, many businesses and companies provide harmful food and beverages, without thinking about the consequences. If they are prevented from selling these products, the business’ economic growth will collapse.
On the other hand, I believe that governments are responsible for dealing with individuals’ health and must ban detrimental cousins. These products cause negative impacts on health and bring diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Less consumption of these products creates a healthy and satisfied society. For instance, the lowest expenditure on fast food causes a decline in the rate of overweight. Additionally, people instead of purchasing unhealthy food can consume local and organic products, which leads to long-term lives and less demand for health care services. In this case, they not only help the indigenous community but also help the economic growth of their countries.
In conclusion, while people are free in their elections of what they consume, still I believe that to create a healthy and happy community, people must invest in organic and healthy products, and governments should punish shops and businesses for selling and producing detrimental food and drinks.
