It is an undeniable fact that smoking and using similar items are very harmful to human health, but nowadays it has become one of the biggest entertainments. In this essay, I try to show my agreement with limiting smoking by the government with sufficient reasons.
First of all, it should be said that smoking has dangerous and irreversible consequences in the long and short term. For example, smoking damages the lungs of the person who smokes or even the people around them indirectly. Nowadays, the government has tried to use signs and warnings to make people aware of the consequences of smoking and tobacco. I strongly agree with the ban on smoking by the government and I think there should be cash penalties for smokers to make them quit smoking and have a healthier life. The government has even made people more aware of what they are doing by showing the effects of smoking (for example, by drawing comparative images of the lungs of a healthy person versus a smoker on the cigarette pack).
On the other hand, I believe that the more we try to limit and prohibit people from doing something, the more they will be attracted to the forbidden subject. This is especially true for young people. For example, these days, the use of tobacco and cigarettes has become a public entertainment and most young people look at it as a hobby. Governments should find a good alternative instead of using it or produce cigarettes that are harmless or have less harm. However, I still believe that the ban on smoking by the government is much better than letting it go.
In conclusion, although banning smoking and tobacco may seem restrictive to young people, I believe that governments should prohibit the use of drugs and cigarettes to improve the public health of society, because prevention is cheaper than treatment.
