Nowadays, it is often argued whether students should concentrate mainly on academic subjects rather than practical skills. In my opinion, I completely agree that academic subjects should be the main focus of education, mainly for two reasons. Firstly, they provide a strong theoretical foundation, and secondly, they help develop critical thinking skills.
To begin with, the main reason why I support this view is that academic subjects give students essential theoretical knowledge. This means that learners are able to understand fundamental concepts that are necessary for higher education and professional careers.
