Band 6+: Some believe that students should begin learning a language very early in school while others think these subjects should be taught later.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is an ongoing debate over whether students should start learning a language very early in school or later. Although some think that language should be taught later, in my opinion, at this age, children are able to accept and understand more and easier information such as learning languages.

On the one hand, young children do not have enough free time to learn a language than core subjects. School have limited time and resources for teaching all basic subjects such as mathematics, natural science, geography, and geometry. Reducing and adding a new subject may degreade the grasp of both lessons due to lack of time, and this might increase the academic pressure on the student in due course. Besides, scientific subjects are much more difficult than language subjects and it takes more time and effort to study them.

On the other hand, students who begin learning a language early will be have long-term profiency because they can remember vocabulary and grammar faster rather than those who begin learning science subjects. They will copy accents and pronunciation so will can speak more naturally and fluently later. It also can strengthen memory and communication skills, which can lead to bilingual abilities and future career opportunities. Besides, people who speak several languages are now in demand in almost all fields of work, such as pilots, programmers, teachers, military, and diplomats.

In conclusion, while some argue that learning a language should be taught later, in my opinion, it would be better to start learning from an early age. By studying a language you would be more in demand almost everywhere.
