Band 8+: Some believe that students should begin learning a language very early in school while others think these subjects should be taught later.

There is an ongoing debate regarding when languages should be taught to children, with some saying early school years are the best and others arguing for teaching languages later. Despite the fact that languages should be taught later, in my opinion, children should begin learning languages more naturally at an and early age, since young learners acquire languages more naturally and early language learning improves their cognitive development as well as their future educational opportunities.

On one hand, some people contend that students should start learning languages later because older learners are able to understand them it more efficiently. Since they are more mature, they can grasp grammar rules and vocabulary through logical thinking. Moreover, their native language foundation enables them to understand how a new language works as a system. For example, teenagers often learn grammar rules more quickly than young children because they can use their existing knowledge.

On the other hand, numerous studies have demonstrated that learning a language at an early age is far more beneficial. Young children acquire pronunciation and grammar more naturally because their brains are receptive and adaptable during early childhood. Furthermore, early bilingualism strengthens concentration and problem-solving skills, which contribute to better academic performance. For instance, research suggests that children who start learning between six and nine are more likely to access enjoy educational opportunities in the future.

In conclusion, although older learners may understand grammar more quickly, starting a foreign language at an early age offers greater long-term benefits, including natural language acquisition, stronger cognitive development, and better future opportunit
