Band 7+: Some cities create housing areas by providing taller buildings. Others create housing by building houses on a wider area of land. What solution is better?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, many cities face the problem of providing enough housing for their growing populations. Some places solve this issue by constructing taller buildings, while others prefer to build houses over larger areas of land. In my opinion, building taller buildings is a better solution because it saves space and helps cities develop more efficiently.

The first reason why taller buildings are much better option is that they use land more effectively. In large cities, free land is often limited and expensive, so building many separate houses requires a huge amount of space. By creating apartments in buildings, thousands of people can live in the same area without expanding the city too much. For example, many modern countries such as China, America, Canada use tall residential buildings to provide housing for a large population while protecting green areas.

Another advantage of constructing taller buildings is that it xan reduce problems connected with transportation andbinfrastruture. When people live closer together in one area, it is easier for goverments to provide public transport, schools, hospitals, and other important services. As a result, residents xan spend less time travelling and cities can become more convinierlnt places to live. In contrast, buildings houses over a wide ares can make cities spread out, causing longer journeys and more traffic.

Personally, I believe that high buildings are the most practical solution for future cities. Although some people prefer houses because they provide more private space, modern apartments can also offer comfortable living conditions with better facilities. The key point is to design these buildings properly and create a good environment for residents.

In summary, both approaches can help solve the housing problem, but I believe that taller buildings are a more effective than smoll buildings. They save valuable land and make it easier to develop city infrastructure, which is especially important as urban populations continue to grow.
