Band 4+: Some people argue that parents of children who break the law should be punished in some way, because they are responsible for their children’s actions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the number of crimes along young generation is increasing constantly. Some advocate that parents should be accountable for crimes thier children commit while parents have vital role in shopping their children’s behavior and other factors which encourage young people to commit crimes despite being taught not to do

It is evident that parents play a crucial role in upbringing of children. In other words,it is parents ehi teach children about what is true and what is wrong .Children who are taught when they were young about the consequence of crimes they do are highly unlikely to commit crimes when they grow up. If parents are held an accountability of their children’s action, they try to encourage their children not to do crimes there by reducing the number of crimes which young people commit.

I, however, believe that there are other factors at play one is that internet has an adverse impact on children’s behaviour. Violent video is a pertinent example which is displayed openly and this created a cruel behaviour in young people there by causing them to commit crime thought they was taught by parents that what they are doing is illegel.

Peer pressure is another factor which makes young people commit crime children at young age are prone to be influened early by pars as their decision -making skill is not wise enough to make wise decisions. Therefore, simply bloming parents for their children’s actions is not optimal approach as children can be casily influneced and parents cannot table a contral over every aspect of their children’s life .

In conclusion, while parents play an important role in bringing up children. Yet solely making parents responsible for children’s crime is not a logical crime of action because there are other stimulus such as internet and peer pressure which encourage children to do illegal actions.
