Some people believe that online education is more effective than traditional classroom teaching while a few believe that face-to-face learning is essential. Online classroom brings major benefits but I believe that face-to-face learning is more valuable and advantageous.
Online education has revolutionized the world of education. Students can get the educational content, lectures and sessions at home, on their laptop screen. They need not go to the classrooms and attend physical lectures. This has reduced the transport and uniform expenses. This method is technology friendly and feasible. Online learning platforms are user friendly with attractive interface which increase the interest of the students in learning.
Face-to-face learning involves the physical presence of a teacher and the students in a classroom. This structure provides a holistic learning platform where the students learn effective communication along with the subjects. This helps the students make a positive relationship with the teacher, get emotional support from her and ask doubts. Classroom teaching improves the overall personality of a student. In this system, classroom activities can be conducted and various projects can be done in the groups which improve the peer relations. This might not be possible in online teaching system. Online teaching requires every student to have laptops and headphones which every student might not afford. Online teaching does not facilitate peer interaction and overall development.
Conclusively, online system might be effective in few scenarios when physical classes cannot be conducted but face-to-face learning allows a student to get maximum advantages of teaching including overall growth. It provides an opportunity to make real friends, learn naturally and engage in the social environment.
